शिक्षक दिवस की पूर्व संध्या पर प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने राष्ट्रीय शिक्षक पुरस्कार के लिए चयनित टीचर्स से मुलाकात की. इन्हें बुधवार को राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया जाएगा. देशभर से 45 शिक्षकों को उनके उत्कृष्ट काम के लिए राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार के लिए चयनित किया गया है.
नई दिल्ली: प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने शिक्षक दिवस की पूर्वसंध्या पर प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने शिक्षा की गुणवत्ता सुधारने के लिए राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार पाने वाले शिक्षकों को बधाई दी. इस मौके पर उन्होंने देशभर से आए शिक्षकों से मुलाकात की. पीएम मोदी ने अवॉर्ड विजेता शिक्षकों से छात्रों की अंतर्निहित शक्ति को बाहर लाने की दिशा में काम करने का आह्वान किया. पूर्व राष्ट्रपति डॉ. सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन के जन्मदिवस 5 सितंबर को हर साल मनाए जाने वाले शिक्षक दिवस पर शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में उत्कृष्ट योगदान देने वाले देशभर से चुनिंदा शिक्षकों को राष्ट्रीय अवॉर्ड से नवाजा जाता है.
यहां शिक्षकों से मुलाकात के दौरान पीएम मोदी ने कहा कि खासकर गरीब और ग्रामीण पृष्ठभूमि वाले छात्रों की अंतर्निहित शक्तियों को बाहर लाने की दिशा में काम करें. उन्होंन कहा कि उन्हें छात्रों और शिक्षकों के बीच के गैप को हटाने की दिशा में काम करना चाहिए. इसके साथ ही प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने शिक्षकों से कहा कि वे अपने आसपास डिजीटल बदलाव लाने की दिशा में काम करें तो बेहतर रहेगा.
प्रधानमंत्री से मुलाकात के दौरान शिक्षकों ने भी उनके सम्मुख अपने स्कूलों को उत्कृष्टता केंद्रों में बदलने की अपनी कहानियां साझा कीं. इस दौरान शिक्षक काफी खुश नजर आए. पूर्व राष्ट्रपति डॉ. सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन 27 बार नोबेल पुरस्कार के लिए नॉमिनेट हुए थे. उन्हें भारतीय संस्कृति के संवाहक, प्रख्यात शिक्षाविद और महान दार्शनिक के तौर पर याद किया जाता है. उनके विचार आज के दौर में भी जीवन को बेहतर तरीके से जीने की राह दिखाते हैं. उनका कहना था कि छात्र के दिमाग में जबरन तथ्यों को ठूंसने वाला शिक्षक नहीं होता बल्कि वह होता है जो उसे आने वाले कल के लिए तैयार करे.
