दरअसल ऑस्ट्रेलिया और दक्षिण अफ्रीका के बीच जारी तीसरे टेस्ट मैच के दौरान ऑस्ट्रेलियाई क्रिकेटर कैमरून बेनक्रॉफ्ट बॉल टेंपरिंग करते हुए कैमरे में कैद हो गए.
नई दिल्ली. जेंटलमैन गेम क्रिकेट एक बार फिर दक्षिण अफ्रीका और ऑस्ट्रेलिया सीरीज में गलत कारणों की वजह से चर्चा में है. दरअसल ऑस्ट्रेलिया और दक्षिण अफ्रीका के बीच जारी तीसरे टेस्ट मैच के दौरान ऑस्ट्रेलियाई क्रिकेटर कैमरून बेनक्रॉफ्ट बॉल टेंपरिंग करते हुए कैमरे में कैद हो गए. सबसे ज्यादा हैरानी की बात ये रही कि तीसरे दिन के खेल खत्म होने के बाद मीडिया से मुखातिक होते हुए ऑस्ट्रेलियाई कप्तान स्टीव स्मित ने सनसनीखेज खुलासा करते हुए कहा कि पूरी टीम को इस बॉल टेंपरिंग के बारे में जानकारी थी. इसके बाद ऑस्ट्रेलिया टीम को सोशल मीडिया पर उसका खमियाजा भुगतना पड़ रहा है. टीम सभी बड़े दिग्गजों के साथ खुद अपने देश के क्रिकेटरों के निशाने पर भी आ गई है. और ऑस्ट्रेलियाई टीम की इस हरकत पर सोशल मीडिया पर उन्हें अलग-अलग प्रतिक्रियाएं मिल रही हैं. टीम को विश्व का खिताब जीताने वाले पूर्व ऑस्ट्रेलियन कप्तान माइकल क्लार्क ने टीम को बुरी तरह लताड़ लगाई है. क्लार्क ने कहा कि ‘यह चीटिंग है, यह सही नहीं है. हम किसी भी तरह इसे स्वीकर नहीं कर सकते. इसकी कोई जरूरत नहीं थी. हमारे पास दुनिया के सबसे बेहतरीन गेंदबाज हैं हमें चीटिंग करने की कोई जरूरत नहीं थी. साथ ही दूसरे दिग्गज खिलाड़ियों ने भी ऑस्ट्रेलियाई टीम को लताड़ लगाई है.
बता दें कि कैमरून को अपने ट्राउजर में एक पीली नुकीली चीज डालते हुए देखा गया. जब मैदान पर लगी स्क्रीन पर ये सब दिखा, तो अंपायर निगेल लॉन्ग और रिचर्ड इलिंगवर्थ ने तुरंत मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए उनसे बात की. बेनक्रॉप्ट ने अपनी सफाई देते हुए कहा कि ये उनके चश्मे का टूटा हुआ टुकड़ा है. हालांकि कैमरून पर आरोप लगाए जा रहे हैं कि उन्होंने इस नुकीली चीज से गेंद को खुरचा, ताकि बॉल एक तरफ से खुरदरी हो और गेंदबाजों को स्विंग मिले.
